Summer Updates: Supporting Students for a Successful School Year

As we embrace the well-deserved summer break, let’s take a moment to reflect on the latest developments at sharingtreeok

Gratitude to Our Supporters

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who have already registered their students. Your proactive approach is commendable and greatly appreciated. With the registration deadline approaching on March 31, 2024, we encourage those who haven’t registered yet to do so promptly. Let’s ensure your students are well-prepared for their upcoming school year.

New School Supply Collection

Our annual New School Supply Collection is underway, running until August 5th. We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated bin hosts, including:

  • Hudson SDA Church
  • The Purple Tree
  • WESTconsin Credit Union

Additionally, we are immensely grateful to our partners who have been actively collecting new school supplies:

  • Family of Christ, Houlton
  • FNC Bank
  • Sourcing Solutions
  • Wheelhouse Coffee

Your support goes beyond mere contributions; it symbolizes a community coming together to empower our students for academic success. To view our school supply wish list, visit our website at thesharingtree.org.

Sponsorship and Financial Support

We also want to express our gratitude to the citizens who have generously sponsored students over the years. Your dedication to ensuring every student has the necessary supplies is truly commendable. Likewise, we extend our thanks to those who have provided financial support. Your contributions make a significant difference in the lives of our students, and for that, we are immensely grateful.

Backpack Stuffing Night

As the donated supplies continue to pour in, our team is gearing up for the Backpack Stuffing Night, scheduled for August 7th. This collaborative effort involves thirty community volunteers who will assemble supplies according to each student’s classroom teacher’s list. The process is conducted anonymously, ensuring every student receives the necessary resources without any disparities.

Distribution Night

Distribution Night (DN) is slated for March 9th for Hudson and Somerset families, followed by March 10th for Somerset families. Registered families will soon receive an email with their designated Pick-Up Time Window. In case you don’t find the email in your inbox, please remember to check your spam folder.

Community Support: A Lifeline for Students

As we navigate the transition from summer vacation to back-to-school preparations, we acknowledge the challenges families face. Back-to-school shopping, though exciting for some, can be financially burdensome for others. The Sharing Tree serves as a beacon of hope, ensuring that every student receives the supplies they need to thrive academically. We are deeply grateful to our community partners whose unwavering support makes this mission possible.

In conclusion, the collective efforts of our community exemplify the spirit of compassion and solidarity. Together, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future, one where every student has the opportunity to excel. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our cause.
